Benefits

Devil’s Backbone Plant
Benefits
- Super easy to grow: It basically plants itself. Each baby on the leaves falls and roots. Perfect for Garissa’s hot, dry climate. Needs very little water.
- Air-purifying: Like other succulents, it takes in CO2 at night and helps freshen air around it.
- Traditional / folk uses: In some cultures the crushed leaves are used externally for minor burns, cuts, and insect bites (the gel inside is cooling), as well as skin irritation and inflammation. Important: Only use externally, and patch test first. Some people are sensitive.
- Erosion control: Because it spreads fast and has shallow roots, it helps hold sandy soil together.
